Commercial Requirements

There are some requirements you must possess in accordance with 14 CFR 61.123. The requirements are as follow:

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Hold at least a private pilot certificate

• Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language

• Pass the required knowledge test in the areas listed in 61.125

• Receive training and a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor

• Meet the aeronautical experience requirements of 61.129

• Pass the practical test on the areas of operation listed in 61.127(b)

• Comply with the sections of this part that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought

MINIMUM AERONAUTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A minimum of 250 total time that includes:

10 hours of training in a complex airplane or TAA.

2 hour dual cross country day time in visual conditions.

2 hour dual cross country night time in visual conditions.

A solo cross country flight of not less than 300 nautical miles.

5 hour at night in visual conditions.
